This is a popular and preferred solution among clients for extracted or missing teeth, and have a greater appeal compared to wearing bridges. The advantage of going for a dental implant is that no alteration will be done to the teeth as in for dental bridges. The procedure will be completed in just a few months.

The Procedure

Stage 1

The first step here is to put the implant in position. A small incision is made in the gums and a screw is placed. After placing the implant, the gums are allowed to heal after being sutured. The healing process can be from 3-6 months as it takes some time for the jawbone to form around the implant. Until it is completely healed, crowns are temporarily installed so you can smile as usual.

Stage 2

After your implant has fully healed, in your next visit, an abutment will be placed on top of the implant. This acts as the base for the new tooth. After this, we will use an impression of the abutment to help create a replacement tooth that will be completely natural! During your final consultation, the tooth will finally be ready to be attached. Within a short period, you will grow accustomed to the new tooth and will most likely forget you didn’t always have it!
